Intermediate Club Championship Quarter Final
Kenmare Shamrocks 0-12 Spa 0-8Spa bowed out of this year's Intermediate Club Championship following a defeat to Kenmare on Saturday night. Despite a number of players absent, and losing Mike Stam O'Donoghue to injury after 10 minutes, Spa and Kenmare were matched point for point for the majority of the game. First half scores, all from frees, from Evan Cronin (2), Michael Foley, Andrew Garnett and Craig Hickey kept the sides level at half time at 0-5 apiece. A Craig Hickey free and two points from Michael Foley in the second half kept Spa in contention, but late scores from Kenmare put an end to Spa's chances. Wishing our injured players a speedy recovery.Team: Aaron Farrell, Eric O'Donoghue, Matthew Moynihan, David Spillane, Shane Cronin, Dan O'Donoghue, Eoin Cronin, Andrew Garnett (0-1f), Mike O'Donoghue, Mike McCarthy, Craig Hickey (0-2f), Shane Lynch, Michael Foley (0-3(1f)), Evan Cronin (0-2f), Ciaran Spillane.Subs: Alfie Giles, Jamie Spillane.

Anthony Morris Fundraiser
A huge crowd showed up to the Flesk Restaurant, Friday morning, to support Anthony Morris, with his recovery from lyme disease in Washington, DC. USA. The people of Killarney showed their community spirit by showing up at the Flesk Restaurant last Friday to support Anthony on his road to recovery. He was misdiagnosed for over 8 years and as a result Anthony's health has deteriorated and affects his memory, energy levels and his overall health. There's treatment in Washington and he will travel there with his very caring and loving partner Margaret McCormack and his daughter Roisin, to the U.S. Clinic next month. Margaret stated today that the paperwork is finally sorted and accommodation where they will reside over the treatment. Anthony will be able to stay at home with regular visits to the doctor and Clinic to be monitored closely on his progression. If you would like to donate you can still do so online or local AIB bank. Apart from the YouCaring fundraising page the family have also set up a fundraising account with AIB in Killarney, details are; Bank AIB Killarney IBAN IE88AIBK93633262020007 Account Name: Margaret McCormack & John Anthony Morris.
