Intermediate Club Championship Quarter Final

Kenmare Shamrocks 0-12 Spa 0-8Spa bowed out of this year’s Intermediate Club Championship following a defeat to Kenmare on Saturday night. Despite a number of players absent, and losing Mike Stam O’Donoghue to injury after 10 minutes, Spa and Kenmare were matched point for point for the majority of the game. First half scores, all from frees, from Evan Cronin (2), Michael Foley, Andrew Garnett and Craig Hickey kept the sides level at half time at 0-5 apiece. A Craig Hickey free and two points from Michael Foley in the second half kept Spa in contention, but late scores from Kenmare put an end to Spa’s chances.
