Senior Ladies Spa 2-12 Finuge St Senans 2-7

The Spa Senior Ladies were out again on Sunday 24th April away to Finuge. Weather conditions were ideal and the sun shone for the most part.

The first few minutes Finuge played well and led the game with 3 points. The Spa ladies displayed remarkable skill and outstanding football throughout the game with strong performances from Sarah Fleming, Mags Cronin and Meghann Cronin resulting in a 4 point lead at half time.

The work rate of players such as Liadh Tobin, Lottie Maher, Laura McLarnon, Ciara Moynihan, Mairead Bennett, Niamh Clifford, Liz Stack, Katie Cronin and Aisling Mahony were second to none which allowed us to maintain possession for the most part of the game. Our goalie on the day Brid Og O’Connor made some significant saves which also contributed to our 5 point win over Finuge.

The final score Spa 2-12 Finuge 2-7. The senior ladies are out next Sunday 8th May in Spa and are playing against Inbhear Sceine Gaels. Throw in is at 12noon.
